| As a basic national policy, the family planning policy has indeed played a positive role in China’s social development in a certain period of time, and it has also achieved the expected goal of controlling the population and improving the quality of the population. But a series of problems have emerged. With the continuous development of industrialization, urbanization and modernization, the traditional family structure pattern has changed, and it is constantly changing towards miniaturization and simplification. At present, the only-child family in China has become the mainstream family structure. At the same time, the original empty nest problem among the elderly is getting younger and younger, and the middle-aged empty nest family problem appears slowly.Different from non-only-child families, the children of non-only-child families will leave home one after another, and their parents will have an empty nest buffer period. However, when the only child has to leave their parents’ lives for various reasons, such as studying, getting married, working, etc.,a phenomenon is formed: the parents of only-child emptynest families will be at a loss for the sudden changes, resulting in a series of problems. This study takes the one-child family in the D community as an example, and goes deep into the life of the empty-nest family of the one-child through the method of unstructured interview.Starting with the basic situation of the D community and the only-child families, this paper understands the relevant information of the parents and children of the only-child families, and analyzes the problems and causes of the empty nest of the parents of the only-child families in the community by means of scale and observation.Secondly, the professional theories and methods of social work are used to explore the solutions to the problems of empty nest in only-child families, such as parents’ role imbalance, pestering children, parents’ growth and empty nest syndrome. Finally, the case owners with severe empty nest syndrome are selected to intervene in case work, and the process of intervention is summarized empirically.Through reflection, suggestions such as adjusting concepts, increasing self-concern,adjusting family relationships and adapting to society are put forward.Through the research of this paper,I hope that the society can pay more attention to the current situation of empty nest problem of only-child families. |
