The content in the chapter of solid geometry of senior high is one of the difficulties. One reason related to teaching procedures is that deficiency in lesson preparation for the chapter, leading to a lack of students’imagination in dealing with the problems and inefficiency in class teaching. It would be of great help, if teachers make enough preparations before class, that is, studying textbooks, knowing students, searching for appropriate teaching method, reflecting on yourself.Based on literature review, a questionnaire for teachers’ lesson preparation is conducted. The study for teaching practice, taking the problems found as the starting point, compares two parallel classes, experimental class and control class. For the experimental class, effective class preparation is carried out while control class is the same as before. A case analysis is conducted afterwards.The study finds that effective class preparations help develop students’ abilities to draw graphs and space imagination, enhance the combination of numbers and graphs, build students’ awareness to explore knowledge and inspire students’ interest in experiencing the beauty of math. Thus the excellent quality to think more and do more is acquired step by step.
