Rural economic backwardness, poor transportation, information, education resources, poor, lead to education make it difficult to implement the new idea, the high school Chinese reading work not well developed, and the low quality of reading teaching. How to improve the rural village of high quality and level of Chinese reading teaching, develop students’ good reading quality, is an urgent problem in the rural high school Chinese teaching.Papers in xinyang shangcheng county rural high school teachers and students as the research object, examine the rural high school Chinese reading teaching present situation, on the basis of predecessors’ theory thinking and practice to explore, for teachers, students, social environment three aspects carries on the analysis and research. By finding out the rural high school in the teaching of reading, existing problems, and then analysis the causes of the formation of these problems, then put forward to improve the effective strategy. Besides the introduction and conclusion, is divided into three parts:The first part is the rural high school Chinese reading teaching present situation investigation, from two aspects of teachers and students. Through questionnaire, interview and so on, on the rural high school language teacher prepares a lesson of their own quality, resources, mainly studies the teaching method, etc, as well as the students’’ extracurricular reading, the main body participation, etc. The second part is the analysis of problems of the rural high school Chinese reading teaching, teachers’ understanding of the nature of reading teaching is not clear, inadequate preparation before class and reading teaching skills; Insufficient recognition of reading, students interested in is not high, no selective reading and the restriction of social environment these factors caused the problems in the rural high school Chinese reading teaching. The third part is to improve the rural high school Chinese reading teaching countermeasure research, only from three aspects of teachers, students and the social environment, joint effort, can actually improve the present situation of the rural high school Chinese reading teaching, improve teaching quality, stimulate the rural high school student’s reading interest, cultivate good quality of reading, so as to implement Chinese accomplishment in a pleasant teaching activities.
