To strengthen the construction of employment guidance teachers’team in higher vocational colleges is conducive to promote the education and teaching reform as well as the rational allocation of talents of higher vocational colleges, it’s a desperate need for reality to establish professional teams of employment guidance teachers.Based upon an actual investigation of the construction of employment guidance teachers’team in a higher vocational college, the study mainly focuses on the function, construction status and characteristics of employment guidance teachers’team in higher vocational colleges, and analyzes the present situation and developing trend of foreign colleges, also analyzes the existing problems of employment guidance teachers’team in higher vocational colleges through an empirical analysis:(1) the attention on the construction of employment guidance teachers in higher vocational colleges is relatively low; (2) the structure of employment guidance teaching staff is unreasonable; (3) the systems for employment guidance teachers are imperfect; (4) the process of construction of employment guidance teachers’team is slow. The reasons for these problems are being analyzed:First, there are no corresponding access and assessment systems in China and the issue was not given enough attention; Second, there are no corresponding incentive system and training system which can’t motivate employment guidance teachers to strive to their work as their own careers; Third, employment guidance is not well-recognized by the society and more practical work should be taken and more other social groups are needed, the related external force is limited.In this study, the methods of literature, interview and questionnaire survey are used. On basis of full theoretical analysis and relevant information, the author conducted questionnaire surveys and random interviews in a higher vocation college with dozens of employment guidance teachers respectively, and carried out in-depth interviews with the leaders who are charged for the employment guidance work. The countermeasures to solve these problems are put forwarded:(1) the government level. To improve the system arrangement, ensure the implementation of the policies and measures; to increase the financial support for the employment guidance teachers in higher vocational colleges, actively build effective communication platforms. (2) The institutions level. Changing ideas and improving the systems, to establish professional teams of employment guidance teachers; to improve the professional qualities of employment guidance teachers and promote the teaching abilities of the teachers, and in effort to give supports to the construction of employment guidance teachers’team. (3) The Teachers level. Love the occupation with passion, to attach importance to enhance their senses of responsibilities; improve their professional qualities of employment guidance; to participate in all kinds of practices actively and improve the skills of employment guidance. Only in this way, the comprehensive qualities of employment guidance teachers in higher vocational colleges can be promoted in all aspects to provide better service for students’employment.
