Now although people are feeling education investment return rate is low, a negative view of higher education, and even some people also questioned the investment of higher education, but people are still keen to invest in education, continue to pursue a higher level of education, so how to better explain these seemingly contradictory phenomenon? In view of this, this paper tries to explain these seemingly contradictory phenomena through the perspective of people’s pursuit of happiness, and this is the research background, focusing on the analysis and discussion of the path of subjective well being influenced by the degree of education.Main research contents of this paper are:This paper summarizes the western and Chinese relatively classic concept of happiness, and focused on combing the education and subjective well-being as the main content of the literature research at home and abroad, on the basis of the theory, proposed four hypotheses, And use data from a sample of 2005 by the China National Research Center of Beijing University presided over the "media, attitude and behavior of questionnaire survey in Chengdu area, least squares (OLS) linear regression analysis to verify the hypothesis is established, Then focus on the degree of education through which the path of influencing the individual’s subjective well-being and what is the nature of the impact.The study of this paper found:1. the degree of education through the direct path of the way, does not generate a significant positive impact on people’s subjective well-being. But the education level can be directly influenced by the way of indirect path, which has a significant positive effect on people’s subjective well-being.2. the degree of education can have a significant positive impact on people’s subjective well-being through economic factors.3. the degree of education failed to have a significant positive effect on people’s subjective well-being through the factors of self-efficacy.4. highly educated group, its evaluation and expectation of economic factors, the better, the higher the sense of self efficacy, and the higher the evaluation of economic factors and expectations of the group, the higher the subjective well-being.5. this paper does not verify that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and subjective well-being, which is the problem to be solved in the follow-up study.6. gender, marriage, age demographic variables have a significant impact on people’s subjective well-being. Which women always have shown a higher than men’s subjective well-being level; married group subjective well-being level was significantly higher than that of single people, marriage support of economic factors is a key reason for married people are happier than single people; the older the subjective happiness sense is low. |
