Research On The Present Situation And The Development Of Sports Associations In Wuhu

The development of the sports associations is an important part of sports system reform in China, which is also the main forms of social organization regulating government’s function in sports management.Nowadays, more sports associations are established to satisfy the needs of the development of social sports, which are also developing quickly. However, the local associations develops obviously behind the national sports associations, also there are big differences between sports club in different areas, so it is prospective and necessary to explore the developing mode of the local sports club, build sports associations with optimal structure and coordinating running, establish a better structure of the perfect national sports management system.Wuhu,a microcosm of China’s small and medium-sized cities, has many common problems in the sports associations like similar cities.Therefore, after a comparison on the concept of sports organization as well as the development of sports associations between China and abroad, the paper provide a theoretical basis for the research of local sports associations’development through literature review and experts interview. Also, Wuhu sports associations are regarded as the research object, the research has been done in many ways, such as the overall classification of sports club in Wuhu, the leaders and the running of sports associations, the funds, the activities and so on, by doing questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics, interviews and other research methods.The Wuhu Running Club, a typical case, is selected as the object we research thorough, making a concrete analysis of its current situation and problems, the paper try to give countermeasures and provide reference for Wuhu sports associations’development, aiming at promoting sports associations improvement which can play its role in the sports development and popularization. Besides, modest contribution can be made to the comprehensive development of the national sports organization.The results shows that,1.The number of sports associations is small. On the whole,there are different kinds of sports associations in Wuhu, containing 32 municipal sports clubs.Although they have developed well, the number of sports associations is still tiny in the country. The lower the administrative level of the area is, the number is smaller. Some kinds of sports associations are lack, like in the fields of academic exchange sports and sports media communication.2.The training of talented person and the budget management in local sports associations need to be promoted. Many problems exist:serious aging problems, lacking young highly educated people and outstandingsports professionals; Most administors are retirees from the government or sports coaches,combining with the sports community itself,insufficient funds and the disorder operations,the sports associations are unattractive, resulting in the lack of full-time professional management personnel, limiting the development and being lack of coordination between the inner departments.3. The environment of sports associations’ development need optimization because of the lack of supporting policy. The existing policy system limits the most sports associations to obtain the registration of legal status, which is not conducive to the healthy development of the sports associations;what’s more, no more explicit policy support for nonprofit sports associations development, for example, sports associations gain corporate sponsorship funds must be raised in the row from tax profit, this must affect the enterprises’ support for the charity of sports; thirdly, There is no clear project orienting government’s purchasing service mechanism.4. The limited use of sports associations because of lack of planning. Although there are many sports facilities, sports venues are mainly distributed in enterprises and schools, only a few are geared to the needs of society, most belonging to self-service, sports venue is still a big bottleneck, there is no fixed places, and certain scale. A few temporary leasing space are too expensive to make it be a long-term guarantee for activities.Through the analysis above, the Chinese sports associations will attract the opportunity of the development, the changing from competitive sports to the national fitness strengthens the vitality of the sports associations development. Meanwhile, attention to the development of sports associations system and supervision should be paid. Therefore, two suggestions are given in this paper.One is the government level:the government must find its position, playing to the total guiding role for promoting the development of the sports associations; Promote the separation between the government and sports associations, leading to reasonable cooperation; Get funds directly into purchasing service for the government; Guide and standardize the development of the sports associations. Make planning of the city’s sports development and strengthen community support.2.The other one is the sports associations level:the Self-perfection of the sports associations, finding its role in the development of society; optimize the sports associations management mode; Give full play to the good corporate management leadership; Enrich the function and promote ability of organization; Strengthen the sports community full-time management personnel.
