Geographical field practice is an effective means for geographical practice knowledge learning, and is also an important part of college geography education methods. To judge the value of the whole process of geographical field practice, to evaluate and analyze the quality of the field practice, in order to find out the weak link and to improve the quality, which is of great significance to polish up the quality of practice.This study proceed from the current situation of the field practice in the geography. To sort out the problems existing in the research, Clear definition of geographical field practice. Standardize the content of the quality evaluation of geography field practice, and demonstrate the theoretical basis of the implementation of quality evaluation in the field practice. By applying the fuzzy mathematics theory, geographical field practice quality evaluation was established based on the theory of educational evaluation, which is a system of two level index. The first level indicators include three major indicators: internship preparation, internship process and internship harvest. Second indicators are the further refinement of the first level index, contains a total of 20 indicators,the practice target and content understanding, internship base number, practice base level, tools and practice and internship program, accommodation, proportion of funding, practice organization and process, practice is rich in content, teachers’ professional knowledge, and frequency, professional skill and operation and so on.On the basis of the evaluation index system and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, a questionnaire survey was carried out in the field practice about the Department of City and Environmental of Hubei Normal University, to evaluate and analysis the quality of practice. The study found that:(1)the quality of internship is overall fine;(2) Lack of preparation for internship, students are not clear about the goal of internship, the imbalance of the internship content, lack of internship funds;(3)internship arrangements are not reasonable. In the practice of instruments and tools management loopholes, and the practice is not enough depth, teacher-student ratio is not appropriate. This paper puts forward the corresponding measures and suggestions aiming at these problems:(1)perfect practice preparation: grasp the characteristics of the subject, set up the indoor one practice view, increase subsidies for pre internship, internship training, strengthen the guidance of teachers, improve the teacher-student ratio;(2)improve the design and management of the geographical field practice: scattered geographical practice, reasonable arrangement of the internship site, extend the stay time, standardize the practice management, strengthen safety education;(3)perfect assessment methods and construct scientific evaluation system.
