In recent years, language research gradually develops from words,phrases and sentences to texts with the development of the text linguistics.However, the Chinese language in the middle-school stage has been always putting emphasis on the basic Chinese knowledge teaching and basic Chinese skill training especially the teachings of words, phrases and sentences, so the text teaching has not made considerable progress and the Chinese teaching also falls into the embarrassing state featured with less time, slower speed, worse quality and more waste.Chinese teaching ignores the function of the text as a kind of communication in the whole, so it is difficult to improve the students’ thinking ability and language using ability and can’t meet the needs to the talents in such an information age. There appeared the shadow of the text teaching in some compiled texts as early as the period of the Republic of China, among which the most prominent was the 108 Chinese Texts compiled by Mr Ye Shengtao and Mr Xia Mianzun. The 108 Chinese Texts, with article study being its system and text being its unit, is compiled according to the stylistic knowledge system of narrative,exposition and argumentation and, contains words, anthologies, grammar and rhetoric that are closely connected. This is one set of unit-combined Chinese textbook that gives priority to the vernacular while combiningChinese knowledge, samples and training as a whole with a mixture of classical Chinese and modern Chinese, and is a successful attempt for the Chinese discourse teaching moving towards scientification.There are four parts in this paper, the introduction and literature reviews part mainly elaborates the origin, significance and research status of the selected topic, and the first chapter and the third chapter are the main parts. Specific studies are as follows:Chapter One mainly studies the knowledge presentation of the four sections(i.e., words, anthologies, grammar or rhetoric and questions) and the relationship between them in the 108 Chinese Texts and how these four parts present text theory and knowledge.The second chapter mainly discusses the value of discourse teaching idea in the 108 Chinese Texts.The third part expounds discourse theory enlightenment and practice of the teaching ideas in the 108 Chinese Texts, and puts forward some Chinese teaching ideas and suggestions for the future.
