With the development of market economy and democratic politics in China, people with a high degree of subject consciousness and ability become the social demand of the new century. The drawbacks of traditional secondary education detention of students’ thinking is exposed day by day.Countries in the requirements of the times to promote began exploration of curriculum reform, and in the new "basic education curriculum reform outline(Trial)" in put forward "to play the roles of students in the teaching of teachers and students, change the past the traditional teaching middle school students as passive recipients of the position." 2008 in western mountainous area of Hunan middle school history class began to reform to play students main role. The author has in Chenxi County secondary school had three years of experience in teaching history, through to local students, history teachers conducted a questionnaire survey, interviews, for local high school history course reforms have more detailed understanding.Chenxi County Local Education Department around the fourth ring three step teaching model to promote the reform of high school history class. But the senior high school history class student subjectivity is still lack of serious, such as the examination oriented education concept popular; students thinking is still insufficient, etc. Education are the major factors to educators, learners and education. Education problem is often the result of interaction of various factors. So is the lack of subjectivity of students in senior high school history class in Chenxi county.After investigation and analysis, the lack of subjectivity of the students of the reason mainly in the following aspects: first, Chenxi County is located in the mountains, and mountain history learning resources are insufficient, is lack of learning theory of the history of the system; second, the school curriculum is too close, history teachers aging serious, teaching concepts backward, lack of teachers team construction, the lack of the study of history teaching; third, as poor students and historical basis for the learners, weariness seriously, and so on.The history education of Chenxi county is only a representative of the history teaching in the west of Hunan province. In recent years, Chenxi County, whether it is from the economy, or from education, are located in the middle reaches of the western mountainous areas of Hunan. Education often with the commonness of the whole mountain education, such as excellent backbone teachers serious loss, excellent young teacher recruitment and training; a massive outflow of high-quality students, a large number of students boarding, and the phenomenon of left behind more; history learning resources are relatively lack; local history education research ability is weak and so on. Countermeasure study on history course lack of subjectivity of the students and the Chenxi County high school, it is of great applicable significance for history in western mountainous area of Hunan.To this, the author combines local government curriculum reform direction and elite schools excellent experience, that mountain history education from the education, school teaching environment and resources, teachers’ teaching and curriculum resources development and utilization and so on, for the reasonable use resources in the mountain area of history teaching, play the subjectivity of students to help. Finally, I hope the local education can become better and better.
