How to follow the trend of social development, realize the ideological and political education function of campus public service ads, and improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education, and thus form the formation of the advantages of interdisciplinary research, is becoming an important question which current ideological and political education activities need pay attention to.Owning to the feature of art appreciation and education inspiring,The campus PSAs has an irreplaceable advantage in the ideological and political education.In the basis of expounding relevant theories about campus PSAs, and ideological and political education’s nature, characteristics, goals, combining with the discipline knowledge of Advertisement, communication and ideological and political education, analysis the generate performance of campus PSAs’ ideological and political education function.Thus achieving the the current situation and plight of the campus PSAs’ ideological and political education function through questionnaires.Lastly,we put forward a path to fully realizing thecampus PSAs’ ideological and political education function.The survey results of Six Universities in Hangzhou Xiasha Higher Education Town show that campus PSAs with abundant topics and various forms could be get everywhere in the university campus, also have a profound impact on the ideological and behavior of college students; but the dilemma of Realizing campus PSAs’ ideological and political education function does exist which including advertising production is poor, can’t attract the attention of a wide audience; Because of Universities’ inadequate know and management about campus PSAs, the ideological and political education function of the PSAs can’t effectively play; Universities educators use less of campus PSAs, can not make good use of the campus PSAs to carry on ideological and political education.On the basis of full understanding of the plight aboutideological and political education fuction achieving, proposing targeted countermeasure is the key. Under adhere to the socialist direction as the basic principle, we should counter the status quo of campus PSAs’ production value, scientific understanding, Management System and the intensity of use,and then propose specific path which is suitable for development of students, university and ideological and political education.
