| In the world today, the way of acquiring knowledge and information becomes much more diverse, such as network which becomes the main way to transfer knowledge and information. Micro-blog, Wechat, various phone Apps vary from segments of the information and many so on. With the accelerating of the pace of life, the acquisition of information has become the fast-food and fragment style. Lacking of the systematic reading time makes the acquisition of knowledge therefore become unsystematic, incomplete. So, there are still a lot of educators and scholars constantly stressing the importance of book reading in the whole world. This is because books are the carriers of our culture and knowledge. They are the crystallization of human wisdom, which break through the limitations of time and space to achieve the spread, communication and integration of knowledge and culture in different time dissemination and different regions. To our students, besides language learning books and the provisions of extracurricular in syllabus, reading is an important way for students to expand their horizons. We can also strive to improve their own cultural enrichment and develop a sound personality. However, according to a survey, reading as the important capability of students in the development process of them but does not get enough attention, especially in rural areas. The status of Chinese extracurricular reading is even more worrying.Based on the background above, the object of the study are Weixian county Changtun rural junior high school of Xingtai in Hebei province. I did respectively survey on the three grades, to ensure the rigor and effectiveness of the questionnaire, I organized the Chinese teachers and junior student to do the sample interview survey. Survey results show that most of the problems in extracurricular reading of rural junior middle school students which last for many years still remains: Study pressure, lacking of effective guidance, poor reading atmosphere and the impact of new media are the presence of rural junior high school students in extracurricular reading in the survey findings. These problems are mainly from four reasons: In the countryside, most of the students are busy with their studies, greater academic stress, most having no extra time for extracurricular reading; Students read consciousness is not strong and there is no scientific method of reading. Students readings are relatively narrow and lack effective guidance; The limitation of rural conditions and ideas lead to inadequate rural extracurricular reading hardware facilities, coupled with the inherent limitations of external conditions, leading to the atmosphere of rural junior high school extracurricular reading poor. Moreover, with the development of rural economy arose the new media.Its impact causes the emergence of the traditional reading student extracurricular reading process.It is also an important issue. For this, I propose the advancement of rural junior high school Chinese extracurricular reading strategies and have to be implemented. First, strengthen ideological consensus in extracurricular reading because the concept is fundamental. Educators must agree to change the read status, strengthen ideological consensus of Chinese extracurricular reading ability and level. In addition, by induction of rural junior middle school students in effective reading deficiencies in prevalent reading resources, inappropriate reading methods, the lack of interest in reading, reading blindness and randomness and reading atmosphere is not strong and other issues, some real practical measures are made: together with campus and off-campus, to improve students’ interest in extracurricular reading; sharing and mutual assistance in parallel, to make up for the lack of extracurricular reading environment; coaching and understanding of the interaction, and innovation extracurricular reading methods. On this basis, we have to follow the teaching law, adhere to the people-oriented; respect for individual differences, form independent reading. Also notice find out students’ interest in reading which is the fundamental purpose. Always have the theme of students, at the same time, teachers should offer an effective aid issues.This study is a main questionnaire-based survey, supplemented by research methods of interviews with teachers and students. The rural junior high school stage is a specific object of study to explore the specific status of rural junior high school students’ extracurricular reading, problems and its coping strategies.
