In the past few years, the author found the high school geography teaching practice, because of various reasons, geography class into a high school students’eyes can not learn, geography classroom learning effect is not high. High school students’ curiosity is relatively strong, for them, the geography experiment teaching can effectively improve their learning interest, improve their learning ability.<Decision of the State Council on the reform and development of basic education> and<high school geography curriculum standards> requirements and recommendations are required to improve and improve the teaching methods.This text has four parts:The first part is introduction. Including the choice of experimental teaching in high school geography teaching of application and effects of, domestic and international research on the geography experimental teaching.Theoretical and practical significance of this topic, and the research methods used in this research.The second part, theoretical basis of the application of experimental teaching in the high school geography classroom.The concept of experiment, experimental geography and geography experimental teaching; the basis of experimental teaching, the theory of Dewey "learning by doing" theory, Tao Xingzhi’s theory of ’teaching,learning and doing unit unity", geography discipline theory and the geography curriculum standards requirements; the advantages of experimental teaching and the status of implementation.The third part, the application and influence of the experiment teaching in the high school geography teaching. Including the implementation of the six experiments; along the surface level movement object migration verification, the verification of the law of the ground to turn to force, measuring the height of the sun,the heat circulation, the cause of the monsoon, the water cycling experiment natural geographical environment of integrity and Piedmont Alluvial alluvial formation of fan deposition, implementation of the experiment teaching effect on student achievement and participation degree; need to pay attention to the physical organization, clear division of labor and so on several issues.The forth part:Conclusion.
