| Teaching material is the core carrier of subject teaching. Comparing of education among different countries and regions is an effective way to seek the breakthrough of education development outward. The comparison of teaching materials develops new fields and provides new teaching ideas for teaching activities.Chinese mainland and Taiwan have the same cultural root and origin, but they have different backgrounds due to the separated development caused by historical issues for many years. In that case, it has a certain reference value to compare mainland version and Taiwan version textbooks, compared to the versions of other countries and regions.This topic selects PEP and Taiwan dragon version of high school physics textbooks as the object and works on the comparison between them by means of literature study, comparative analysis and others, which is on the basis of comparative education theory, teaching material evaluation theory and different backgrounds of curriculum reform.First, analyze the college entrance examination system and the high school curriculum standards of these two places and compare between the guiding ideology and concept of the two materials from a rather macroscopic perspective.Second, compare the differences between the two teaching materials on details from the contents of teaching materials, structure, exercises, characteristic and other aspects.Third, according to the comparative analysis, summarize the characteristics of the two edition of the teaching material, and offer some suggestions on the edition and usage of teaching material.Through the analysis, a great consistency is found in the pursuit of teaching ideas and teaching material compiling with the separation for many years in the two places. However, there is a big difference in the means of implementation and the way of presentation. PEP version of the textbook has made a breakthrough in guiding the students’ thinking way, while humanization is paid much attention on the layout design and textbook readability in Taiwan dragon version. |
