The advent of “Micro” age has a profound influence on all aspects of people’s lives. As the Internet communication technology advancing with each passing day, Micro-lecture, which can satisfy learners’ micro needs instantly and efficiently is brought into being. With the increasing influence of Micro-lecture on the field of education and its broad development, the exploration of ways concerning teachers’ professional development with micro-lecture providing the opportunity has been developing into an important research project. In order to sort out and analyze a relatively systematic concept of Micro-lecture, a large amount of related literature both from home and abroad is reviewed. This study is conducted to illustrate the profound influence of Micro-lecture developing on enhancing teachers’ professional development by means of two typical Micro-lecture cases from the aspects of promoting teachers’ individual professional development as well as teachers’ group professional development. This study is based on the hypothesis that micro-lecture developing by individual teachers would alter their teaching ideas, promoting their refection abilities well as enhancing their professional competence and that micro-lecture developing by group teachers would help establish Micro-lecture repository, promote teaching and researching, providing cross-district and collaborative modes of teaching and researching as well as reducing regional gap. The author of this study sorts out the problems brought to teachers by Micro-lecture developing and provides some improvement suggestions on the factors affecting teachers’ professional development such as individual factors, environmental factors as well as project factors for teachers and researchers reference.
