In recent years, the Party and our country have attached much importance to vocational education. In order to speed up the development of vocational education,the State Council issued the Decision of Accelerating the Development of Vocational Education in May, 2014, which is the inevitable demand of deeply implementing the strategy of science and education. But the current vocational education can’t completely meet the needs of social economic development. The knowledge and ability structure of the graduates can’t meet the requirements of the enterprises.Many vocational colleges and schools have strengthened teaching reforms andpromoted the reform of project teaching. However, vocational school teachersencountered many problems in practice due to lack of proper guidance. This thesisadopts literature research, questionnaire, case study method, etc, to research theproject teaching reform. It also points out the problems existing in project teaching and puts forward methods and suggestions on it.This thesis includes four parts.The first part mainly introduces the background and significance of this topic research and development of secondary vocational education in recent years. It also presents that project teaching reform of secondary vocational education is not only a particular requirement of vocational education, but also the need of vocational education curriculum, teachers’ capability and teaching resources construction and the need of training technical skilled personnel as well.The second part elaborates the project teaching concept, theory basis,characteristics and implementation. It also analyses the present reform of project teaching method in vocational schools theoretically.The third part, taking Weihai Industry and Technology School as an example,analyses the specific measures of project teaching reform taken by vocational school.The fourth part reviews the existing problems in project teaching from a practical point of view, analyses the causes of these problems and summarizes the strategies of implementing the project teaching reform.
