The psychological health education of the primary and secondary school students is the significant content and task at the beginning of Chinese quality education implementation. Psychological health education course has been set up in many of Chinese special education schools, yet there are quite some defects in contents and methods. Therefore, it is important to guide the visual impaired students to establish positive and healthy psychology, and explore a set of psychological education system suitable for them, including carrying out psychological education, shaping healthy personality, and cultivating correct self-protection consciousness,sound quality, behavior habits as well as social communication ability. In order to find out the problems in psychological health of visual impaired students in Shandong Province, and propose effective and scientific as well as reasonable strategies to help them grow up healthily, this article modifies MHT(The mental health diagnostic test(MHT) scale) mainly designed by Professor Zhou Bucheng from Psychology Department of East China Normal University, and designs psychological health questionnaire for the visual impaired students. In this article, the psychological health situation of 120 visual impaired students in Grade 6or above and 90 teachers from 3 schools for the blind in Shandong Province is investigated by questionnaire survey, and teacher interview questionnaire is compiled.From the questionnaire, it is found that the psychological situation of the visual impaired students is not optimistic on the whole. Psychological health of 50.48% visual impaired students is in the middle anxiety level,and that of 0.95% visual impaired students is in high anxiety level, all of whom have serious psychological problems. On all the factors of psychological health, the study anxiety of visual impaired students is evident, 58.10% of whom have a trend of study anxiety. It is investigated that there are distinguishing differences of psychological health in gender,age, grade and degree of visual impair. Therefore, the following corresponding education strategies are proposed: to strengthen the education of visual impaired students; to comprehensively improve the psychological health level of them, to stress on cultivating their study competence; to attach importance to mothers’ participation in psychological education of visual impaired students.
