Music Curriculum Standards of Compulsory Education(2011 Edition) referred,“The education concept which takes the music aesthetic as core should be run through the whole course of music teaching. We should exert a subtle influenceon cultivating students’ good sentiment and healthy personality. ”With the continuous deepening of new curriculum standards in recent years, music teaching in primary school has experienced great changes. In view of the problem of limited teaching hours but much content in the teaching material, music teaching is no longer a single, fixed, unified teaching mode, is gradually turning into the mode of music integrated curriculum, the purpose of which is to let teachers and students enjoy class together, allow students to get more knowledge and skills of music in happiness and also improve students’ music aesthetic ability and music quality.In my paper, I take Zhifu District of Yantai as an example and choose 12 typical primary schools to make a survey. I used the method of questionnaire, interview and cases analysis to research on current situation of music teachers in primary schools, the teaching situation of music class, the music quality and study of primary school students.And by interviewing the experts, research staff and front-line teachers, I found the advangtages and disadvangtages of primary school class teaching and put forward the related solutions. Then I found out the specific problems in primary school music teaching and put forward targeted, feasible and developmental solution.I referred to lots of articles and works, papers of postgraduate and doctors and other related articles. I also combined the experience of seventeen-year front-line teaching and four-year research staff experience. My paper is divided into four parts. In the first chapter, the paper presents the origin,situation, significance and the method of my research, which paved the way of the following survey on teaching situation and solutions. The second chapter is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of Yantai elementary school music classroom teaching, based on the survey on primary music class and the interview of experts, the teaching and research staff and front-line teachers. The third chapter is to rethink the solutions and the future of primary music class teaching and give prospective suggestions, the purpose of which is not only to make the students interested in music class, but also more familiarwith music, enjoy music.It has theory meaning and practical value for both the promotion of students’ ability in music, music literacy and lifelong loving and learning music, The fourth chapter is the conclusion, which is to summarize the main content of the whole paper and give hope and confidence to the front-line music teachers in primary schools and make contributions to the primary music teaching of Zhifu District.
