Current Situation And Strategy Research On Junior High School Students’ Chinese Homework

With the world’s rapid development, education also advances with it. In order to achieve the teaching-reform goal of helping students’ all-round development, homework should also be paid enough attention and to take the relative reforms, because homework is an important supplement to school study.However, the current situation of homework is not positive. The main reasons are that teachers assign homework casually and mechanically and students deal with it drearily. Through document analysis method, questionnaires and interview investigation, the author surveyed the current situation of Chinese homework and the views and requirements of students and teachers toward it. Based on those surveys, combing some other thoughts and practices, the author put forward many feasible strategies to students and teachers.After analyses and summaries of the questionnaires, the questions existing in junior school students’ homework are as follow: single homework forms, lacking of interests; out-dated contents, lacking of creation; unified requirements, lacking variety; looking high on results while thinking little of process; short of encouragement due to late correction; large quantity while bad quality, lacking humanity.The reasons toward those questions are as follow:The first reason lies in the school teachers, who have a strong test-oriented view while lacking “Big Chinese Conception”. Low class efficiency and teachers’ increasing quantity of homework are to blame. Besides, teachers don’t effectively arouse the enthusiasm of students, so that students always deal with their homework drearily. What’s more, teachers don’t take individual differences into account, so that they always set unified assignments. In addition, students’ completion situation of their homework cannot be reflected to their teachers in time, which leads to a bad circle.Secondly, it is the parents who don’t create a good study environment and they always have high expectations and profitable minds to their children.Thirdly, students themselves don’t develop good learning habits, which does harm to the completion of their homework.In the aspect of optimizing junior school students’ Chinese homework, the first point is to transform the teachers’ outdated conception towards Chinese to the “Big Chinese Conception”. Secondly, teachers should strive to diversify the forms of homework. Thirdly, teachers are supposed to combine the class teaching and the after-class homework tightly. For instance, teachers may teach one article through a specific masterpiece and then to promote students’ study in all areas by drawing upon the key points of such article. Students should learn skills on class while strengthen their ability out of school. Students should also communicate their feelings with others and share their experiences and so on. Fourthly, teachers should do their best to make the homework online through all kinds of media techniques. For example, teachers could build class groups on We-chat and QQ or other virtual communication platforms to share the sources, acquirements and experiences. What’s more, teachers should pay more attention to students’ individual differences such as setting various forms of homework. Finally, the feedback of homework should be timely so as to arouse the enthusiasm of students.In the aspect of parents, the first point is to keep a positive mind to their children. Secondly, they should communicate regularly with their children and respect their own intention. Thirdly, parents should also encourage their children to raise their enthusiasm in achieving their homework. Fourthly, parents should make a harmonious atmosphere and a cozy study environment at home. Fifthly, they are supposed to make a good role model to their children through hard-working.Finally, in the aspect of students, the first thing to do is to develop good learning habits and improve their work efficiency. For example, students should form the habit of listening carefully in class and the habit of concentration and so on. Besides, students should find their own role models and learn from them.
