| The new curriculum standard proposes student learning process be vivid and lively, during which, students are encouraged to get full involved in. The combination of Mathematics lessons with Information Technology is a general tendency of math teaching. Methods of autonomy learning using Information Technology such as geometer sketchpad, graphing calculator and flipped classroom are often connected with mathematics lessons. It can not only enrich the learning style of students, creating a platform for students’ autonomous learning but also can improve learning efficiency of students. Additionally, it forms a solid foundation for their future improvement.Related theories of the combination of Mathematics lessons with Information Technology and theoretical basis of why information Technology can promote autonomy learning has been systematically stated at the beginning of this paper. Literature analysis, questionnaires and interviews have been used to study how information Technology affect mathematics self-directed learning, and the paper also attempts to give some advice for them to use information Technology. This paper is divided into three parts:Part one: An introduction of the background, research status and meaning of this paper are discussed. Moreover, how literature reading affects mathematics autonomy learning and Information Technology have been analyzed, the difference between which are defined. Part one introduced clearly the characteristics of math characteristics of self-study and rationalities of Information Technology affecting self-study positively.Part two: Using questionnaire, interview and classroom observation to investigate the current situation of mathematics self-study affected by Information Technology. And four conclusions have been achieved: Teachers have a mixed feeling on the benefits of Information Technology; Information Technology has little effect on mathematics autonomy learning at present; Teachers have less consciousness of using information technology to help students learn independently; students are unconscious of self-study.Part three: Several advices on how to motivate students use information technology to do mathematics autonomy learning. |
