Research on civil education has become the mainstream of international education research.In order to cultivate qualified citizens,every country proposed different requirements. In this new century, the development of socialist marketing economy and democratic politics can not be separated from qualified citizens.Besides,the phenomenon of morality lossing and Political Apathy in many adolescents,which are appealing to civil education of high quality.So far,there is no independent course of civil education in our country.As the main course in humanities and social science,history education has to be the major channel of civil education. After the new curriculum reform,history textbooks in Senior high school break the traditional concept on time and space,present the learning contents in the form of special topics.This paper takes the first Required History Textbook of PEP in high school as example,present the connotation of civil education,analyze the embodiment of civil education resourses and explore how to complete the task of civil education in history teaching.At the same time,this paper is trying to put forward the proposal for the writing of the textbook and history teaching.This paper mainly includes the following four parts.The introduction part expounds the origin and the significance of topic selecting,summarize domestic relevant research dynamic about theory of civileducation and citizenship education in history teaching, sketch out innovation and deficiency.The first chapter are the connotation definition and main value of civil education.Second,this part illustrates the relationship between history curriculum and civil education from the macro and middle level,so history education should undertake the task of civil education.The second chapter is based on analyzing the textbook,which in combination with the contents of civil education,starting from six aspects — — nations and country,democracy and legislation,morality and responsibility,humanitarian and human rights,peace and understanding,world-consciousness and chinese characteristics,concludes and integrates the contents and features of civil education in the textbook.This part try to discuss the problems in the textbook, and apply for advice and suggestions. The third chapter is intended to probe methods of the implementation about civil education in history teaching, take Lesson 5(Democratic politics in The ancient Greek)as case study,looking forward to provide reference for history teaching in senior high school.
