| As one of the standards, test paper of the college entrance examination plays a key role in reflecting efficiency of teaching and learning in high school, and estimating the curriculum standard. In this study, I compared the test papers of biology of the college entrance examination in 2009-2014 in Tianjin with the curriculum standard of biology in high school. I wanted to know if the test papers match or do not much up with the curriculum standard with respect to the levels of knowledge, cognition and their combined effects, and subsequently give an assessment to these test papers if they are suitable for recruitment of college. The results showed that the six test papers match up with the curriculum very well in respect to levels of knowledge and cognition, but do not much well in the combined effects. These results suggest that the test papers of biology of the college entrance examination in Tianjin in recent years largely conform to the requirements of the curriculum standard. These papers are good to estimate efficiency of teaching and learning in high school, but need to be improved in college student recruitment. |
