Faced with increasingly fierce social competition, society increasingly high demands on students. Traditional teaching has been unable to adapt to the times, the students learn in school is not just come by rote book knowledge, how to cultivate the ability of students is very important. " Teach Less, Learn More " as a time-honored educational philosophy was re-presented, its emphasis dominant position of students, pay attention to the ability of students, at home and abroad to obtain the support of the majority of educators. In other countries, Singapore, " Teach Less, Learn More " is implemented successfully. There have been some positive domestic response to the school in China. In addition, many educational researchers are exploring how to use " Teach Less, Learn More " in class to improve learning ability of students.Through literature review, understand the studies done of" Teach Less, Learn More " in recent years at home and abroad, in their basis, the author as teachers through a semester of practice, summed up an idea of the practice model in a high school biology classroom, "three Studies an evaluate"," guided learning-self learning-mutual Learning-evaluation." Guided learning:learning under the guidance of teachers; self learning:learning and exploration by themselves; mutual learning:interactive cooperation; evaluation:evaluation of each other. In this paper, the new course " the water and inorganic salts in cell ", experimental course "Plant cell absorption and loss" as an example to expand the application of this model in high school biology teaching.The author, as teachers, do comparison in the class of grade one from the high school of Xiamen Jimei. The author use practice model in the experimental class, in comparison to the traditional model in the control group. After a semester of teaching experiment, through interviews, questionnaires between two classes about learning, organized data and analysis the author find that" three learning an evaluation " model is feasible, the students of this classroom showing a clear preference. In addition, I also found that by teaching experiment after one semester, there is obvious advantage in mark, and in the experiment class, the students show more alert. The students in the class of traditional teaching even more silence, lack of enthusiasm for knowledge.Of course, there are many places need to be improved, further research and practice by education researchers about "Teach less, Learn more" in the high school biology class. This paper is to provide theoretical and practical basis for the future high school biology teaching.
