The adult-upgraded medical education, an important part of our country’s higher medical education system, is the important way for the in-service medical staff with college degrees to upgrade their educational levels and their specialized technical levels. Its training quality directly influences the medical services of the medical institutions and the healthy development of the adult education. The rapid development of science and technology, the change of medical model, the reform in medical and health system and the construction of life-long education system, have brought new demands and challenges to the adult medical education. To adapt to these changes, the adult medical education should make positive response by having the curriculum construction advance and develop with times. Therefore, it is of great significance for the improvement of talent training quality to deepen the research on curriculum provision for adult-upgraded education in clinical medicine.Purpose of ResearchThis article has made a deep research on the problems existing in the curriculum provision for adult-upgraded clinical education, and has taken a new look at its target of training, in purpose to explore a curriculum system appropriate for the training of our country’s medical and health talents, and to provide reference for the reform in adult medical education and teaching.Research Methods and ContentsThe writer has made analysis on the current situation of the higher medical education in our country with literature research method, thus grasping the trend of medical education and providing reference data and theoretical support for the research of this topic. A preliminary draft for curriculum provision has been drawn up by investigating and researching the training programs for adult-upgraded education in clinical medicine in nine colleges and universities of our country, by using experience of reforms in clinical medicine curriculum from home and abroad for reference, and by integrating the reality of adult education. The writer has made questionnaires by himself on the basis of the above researches. With the expert-consultation method, the writer has finally obtained relatively unanimous opinion from experts on talent training and curriculum provision after two rounds of expert consultation. Ultimately, with the statistics result and expert opinion, the writer has constructed a more scientific and reasonable program for curriculum provision.Results and Conclusions1. Through the literature research and comparative research, the writer has found out the following problems in the current adult-upgraded education in clinical medicine, including ambiguous orientation of training target, the existence of traditional subject-based structure in the majority of curriculum systems, the emphasizing of foundation courses and neglecting of practice courses, the outdated system for professional knowledge, the weakness in practical teaching, the singleness in teaching modes, and the big difference in curriculum provision among colleges and universities.2. A curriculum system with platforms and modules has been constructed. The program of curriculum provision for the adult-upgraded education in clinical medicine is made up by two platforms, three main modules for curriculum, five sub-modules for curriculum and thirty-three courses. The two platforms refer to the optional courses and compulsory courses. Three modules refer to the common required course module, professional core course module, and professional expansion course module. The five sub-modules refer to the professional basic course module, professional course module, tool-method course module, medical progress course module and professional development course module.
