The Research About The Social Work Interwening Interpersonal Barriers In The Elderly Living Alone

With China entering the aging society, the numbers of the living-alone elderly have increased gradually. Although the country established the guarantee system and policy for the elderly and the society is working hard to improve the standard of living for the elderly, a number of the elderly faces serious problems. Because of the rapid development in society and economy, the structure of the family has been inclining to miniaturization gradually. That the most of the elderly chooses to live apart with their children leads to producing a large number of the living-alone elderly. The living-alone elderly, as a highlight of the vulnerable groups, has its particularity. In their daily life, they have the lack of necessary care and the social contact, especially the problem of the spiritual loneliness in solitary life. Their life is "Go out a lock, the door a lamp". Because its living alone and the lack of interpersonal communication and emotional support, the living-alone elderly is prone to negative, depressed, withdrawn and self-closed psychological, especially the personality is more isolated. These problems gradually lead to the difficulties and obstacles in interpersonal communication of the living-alone elderly. These affect the elderly mental health, and even accelerated aging, which causes physical and mental illness. At present the country is finding the issue to solve the problems of the elderly living alone, "Social Work" provides a new idea and becomes one of the ways to solve the aging problem. Based on this, the author chooses the elderly living alone in Y community of Nanjing as the research object, and use some related theories and methods of social work, and analyses the selection of the living-alone elderly in interpersonal communication, and summarizes the cause of the interpersonal obstacles. The author puts the necessity and feasibility of the use of social-work intervention in the-elderly interpersonal obstacles, and explores ways to solve the-elderly interpersonal obstacles through the case-work and group-work method. Finally, the writer reflects the intervening process through studying the effect of the social work intervening and summing up a set of effective solutions.The study conclude that the social-work intervention in the elderly interpersonal barriers is beneficial to improving the situation of the-elderly loneliness in the spirit, and help to seek the solutions from the perspective of social work effectively. Above all, these can form the local context of the social-work research. Based on the case in respect of the awareness of individuality, the social work skills and the right path, combined with the characteristics of group work, we can solve the problems of the-elderly interpersonal barriers effectively. Being worth learning from the skills and path, more practitioners can replicate and promote. That social work interviewing the interpersonal barriers of the elderly effectively, the intervention model of feasible case work and group work for solving the problem of the elderly living alone has the irreplaceable.
