A Study On Deviation And Reconstruction Of Contemporary College Students’ Sexual Morality

The sexual morality education is a key subject in the college students’ ideology and morality development in the new era. In the social background of new media or self-media, some college students’ abnormal sexual morality appear to involve with the ideological value conflict, social morality, psychological crisis and so on, especially in terms of the generation of students born after 1990 s. in the new age, the complicate and intertwined social factors make the college students fuzzy to identify the boundary of roles and behaviors in different scenarios, which results in the individuals’ disorder of roles transformation in different standard and moral rules, the abnormal sexual morality because of lacking self-adjustment and control ability while confronting with the dangerous situation such as the sexual morality disorder both in the actual and virtual world, and a dilemma of social moral cognition and conduct.Issues are aroused by many scholars to discuss on the college students’ sexual morality, and some of them indicate that new moral problems will appear in the changing process of human communication methods, which calls for reconstruction of new moral ideology and rules. In order to meet with the new requirements of moral education in new environment, it needs to construct the corresponding moral and ethic educational theory and seek for new ways and methods for moral education. In order to adapt the situation in content and methods, the thesis attempts to explore the college students’ sexual morality issues from perspective of sexual morality disorder and reconstruction. It is not only the “should-be” ideal reconstruction of contemporary college students’ sexual morality but also the actual description. The research methods and contents in the thesis are generally as follows:Firstly, the thesis illustrates the related basic concepts and connotations, such as sex, sexual morality and sexual moral outlook, combs the historical development and implications of the sexual morality disorder, based on this, and proposes the approaches and path choice of sexual morality reconstruction.Secondly, the thesis makes an empirical research on the college students’ views on love, virginity, marriage and sexual morality, which provides the basis and support for refining the major performance of contemporary college students’ sexual morality disorder and reconstruction the good sexual morality of college students. By questionnaire survey of 2386 college students on their current sexual moral views, itindicates that: firstly, the current sexual morality views of college students are disordered in an obvious way; secondly, the sexual morality of college students is greatly impacted and their related understandings, thinking logic and behavior and conduct have changed a lot; thirdly, the formative factors of sexual morality view seem to be complicated; fourthly, the college students’ sexual morality education pattern needs innovation.Thirdly, based on the empirical research on the college students’ sexual morality,the thesis makes further analysis on the influential factors to rectify and reconstruct the reasonable path of college students’ sexual morality outlook. The analysis and interpretation mainly focus on the following aspects: firstly, historic and cultural factors,including its cultural origin, developing and changes of its nature, differential performance and reasons; secondly, the media and environmental factors, including visual impact, sensory stimulation, and internet stipulation; thirdly, social education factors, including social control filtering, school education and family education;fourthly, individual characteristic factors, including sex psychology developing,discrimination capabilities and personal ideals and pursues.Finally, the thesis discusses the countermeasures of college Students’ sexual morality adjustment and reconstruction from the perspective of individual and environment, and puts forward countermeasures in terms of social media, educational strategies, and individual conditions. Firstly, the individual condition construction mainly includes cultivating the moral qualities, enriching the media literacy and improving the aesthetics judgments; secondly, the social environment construction mainly includes advancing and strengthening the legal system construction, the self-discipline and regulation of media industry, and encouraging and inspiring the network civilization; thirdly, the education strategy optimization primarily contains the popularization and improving of school education, practices and integration of social communication, and the internalization and furtherance of family education.
