The higher vocational education is an important part of higher education system as well as the advanced stage of the vocational education in China, which aims to train skill-oriented talents who have both the professional theory quality and strong practice, management, service ability. Nowadays, the higher vocational education undertakes the tasks of promoting economic development and cultivating more excellent skilled talents for the society. This talent training assignment depends much on the teacher’s professional quality, their dedication, their working enthusiasm, their willingness of realizing their self-value. However, due to the incompleteness of teacher’s incentive system, higher vocational teachers have such major problems as inaccurate targeting in self-development, lack of working enthusiasm and initiative, furthermore, problems like teachers’structure is unreasonable and talented teachers introduction is difficult are also outstanding. The existence of the above problems greatly restricts the development of the college as well as the teacher. Therefore, finding out the teacher’s ideological trend and the overall characteristics of their demand to establish a set of optimal teachers’incentive mechanism is an urgent problem to be solved at present for many colleges in China.JZ vocational and technical College is a typical higher vocational college, after decades of development, it is now in the development stage of flourishing. How to motivate teachers to share every effort to support the college development is the core of human resources management in this college. To study the teacher’s demand characteristics and their satisfaction towards the existing incentive mechanism, we find that the leaders in this college only pay a little attention to teachers’demands. At the same time, the imperfect payment system, performance evaluations, training system and campus culture are the main problems in the existing teacher’s incentive mechanism of JZ College. In view of these problems, this paper bases on the actual situation of JZ College and puts forward the concrete countermeasures in order to optimize the incentive mechanism, which includes four aspects:first, to establish and perfect the payment incentive system; second, to ensures the performance appraisal system go on smoothly; third, to set up reasonable training mechanism; fourth, to construct excellent campus culture. Finally, this paper also put forward relevant measures to ensure the effective operation of incentive mechanism, which can really achieve the purpose of encouraging teachers to devote themselves to their work.
