The new curriculum standard of high school states: to develop students’ scientific literacy, humanistic spirit, innovative spirit, practical ability, international perspective, national spirit, social responsibility and life planning capability are of great significance to a country’s prosperity, social progress and personal lifelong development. The traditional biology teaching mode in high school does not meet the requirement of the new curriculum, whose defects are becoming increasingly obvious. Faced with the new situation, the high school biology classroom teaching is sure to experience a new reform and challenge. From the perspective of teachers, this essay explores a new high school biology classroom teaching, that is the practical application of the teaching model of “Independent thinking, Cooperative discussion, Guidance”. This model not only focus on students’ self-study, which help the students learn to think independently, but also penetrate teachers’ guidance and coaching in the learning process so that students can cooperate with others, Show self, and improve ability.The research is divided into three parts. The first part, introduction. First of all, analyze the drawbacks existing in traditional high school biology classroom teaching and the requirements of the new curriculum reform in ordinary high school, these are the reasons for the selected topic. Secondly, it defines the core concepts of “teaching mode” and “Independent thinking, Cooperative discussion, Guidance”, and then through the comparison and analysis of the domestic and foreign teaching mode, the direction and content of the research is clear. Finally, it introduces the research ideas and methods, and the characteristic and innovation of this paper. The different from the domestic classroom-reformed school is, the teaching mode of “independent thinking, Cooperative discussion, Guidance” is the result of “localization”. It is related to the high school biology classroom teaching. It has the characteristic of high school biology subject. It’s also a less of domestic research. In addition, the results of this study mostly from teachers of the original design and classroom teaching experience reflection and summary, is conducive to the learning and practice of teachers.The second part, the procedures of the “Independent thinking, Cooperative discussion, Guidance”. This part is mainly to solve the problems about “what to do” and “how to do”. The essay separately introduce the three class procedures, Independent thinking-self study, Cooperative discussion-discuss together and Guidance-presentation through forms of content and methods of guidance.The third part, examine the practical effects of the teaching mode “Independent thinking, Cooperative discussion, Guidance”. This chapter is mainly through the questionnaire survey and data analysis on “the learning situation of senior high school students in NO.9 Middle School”, to examine the practice effect of this model, and then find out the problems of this teaching mode, and put forward the improved strategies of classroom teaching.The results found that “Independent thinking, Cooperative discussion, Guidance” is a teaching mode that is consistent with the requirements of new curriculum standard of high school, training high school biological science literacy teaching model and capacity. It develops students’ accomplishment and capacity in biology learning. For students, it can develop students’ interest and enthusiasm in biology learning, improve their abilities to study by themselves, to discuss together, to present themselves, to analyze and solve problems. For teachers, it can lose the burden for the teachers, put more classroom time to the students. For the classroom, it makes the classroom full of vitality of life. For school, it can improve teaching quality and effectiveness as well as expand the influence of school. On the whole, the teaching mode of “Independent thinking, Cooperative discussion, Guidance” in the high school biology class has played a role in promoting and activating, is worth learning and promotion.
