Reading has a long history. It can arouse the students’ eye, mouth, mental, emotional and is consistent with the laws of Chinese language teaching. It plays an important part in our traditional Chinese teaching.But when we are teaching Chinese, It is the universal phenomenon to heavy light reading,reading light reading and rewrite the light to read in middle school Chinese teaching, which is worrying us. Chinese teaching must grasp reading. If you leave the reading this "this" to talk about some garish "law", it is equal to have the order reversed. We should make reading back to basics and pay more attention to reading, making students like reading and often read books.With multimedia modernization entering the classroom, there are more diverse teaching modes and teaching methods.These aspects for study and discussion emerge in an endless stream, while the research on reading is becoming less and less. It is not detailed about what reading is, what glorious past reading teaching has, why reading teaching need come back, how reading teaching comes back and what the handover of reading teaching should be. This article takes the reading in Chinese teaching regression as the research object and carries on the research from two aspects of theory and practice to explore a new way to effectively improve the efficiency and quality of Chinese teaching of middle school.This paper is divided into seven chapters. The first introduces the current situations of Chinese teaching nowadays, the necessity of reading coming back to Chinese teaching and some materials about reading research from ancient times to modern times. The second is about what reading is and mainly analyzes the meaning, types and characteristics of reading. The third is about the past of reading and mentions that reading has an important part in traditional Chinese teaching in our country. Then it combines the concrete situations of three senior middle schools in Liu yang to analyze the embarrassing current situations of reading and emphasizes the necessity of reading coming back to Chinese teaching. The fourth further detailed discusses the importance of reading coming back to Chinese teaching. The fifth mentions that the key of reading coming back to Chinese teaching lies in teachers. It points out that teachers improves themselves and take measures to strengthen the students reading habits. The sixth combines with the concrete teaching examples to talk about the common methods of reading teaching. The seventh enumerates several recitation teaching cases for reference.The paper aims at the concrete teaching practice to re-examine the traditional language teaching method in reading through the literature, experiment, investigation, comparison and other means, the fundamental understanding of the reading instruction in the summary of predecessors, combined with the new curriculum standards, the fusion of modern pedagogy and psychology related theory. The paper advocates students as the main body and brings the text back to the students to strengthen the reading, therefore enhancing the students on language comprehension ability and aesthetic ability.
