Research Of Intercultural Education Policy In European Union

Intercultural education has become a hot topic,discussed worldwide in the 21st century.As a regional organization with supranational characteristics,the European Union(EU) has established a series of policies and projects of Intercultural education,including the formulation and implementation of a series of relevant projects in intercultural dialogue and learning strategies,and has promoted them to be carried out at its member countries.The aim is to contribute to the social integration of Europe and make citizens accept the European identity.Cultural diversity is increasingly prominent in our societies, which leads to a fact that the demand for intercultural education is also growing.Thus, judged from international and national perspectives,our country is faced with the opportunity to develop intercultural education.Five parts are divided in the thesis. There are included as follows.Chapter 1, the introduction part, analyzes the reason of choosing the topic of Intercultural education of EU, tries to introduces the main question, hypothesis and method of the thesis and so on.Chapter 2 mainly analyzes the history of European Union and its education policy,especially its Multicultural education policy’s development,tries to explain the reasons for its failure. Chapter 3 introduces the story of rise and development of the intercultural education policy in EU from the perspective of history.Chapter 4 makes an attempt to analyzes the features of Intercultural education in EU, then to analyze the influential factors of its development.Chapter 5 shows the good opportunity to set up and implement the Intercultural education in our country.
