With the constant development of educational reform in our country, a large number of young teachers are flooded into junior middle school as English teachers, serving as the fresh force of English teaching. And English instructional designs is an important aspect in English teaching, so researches on the current situation, influence factors and development strategies of English teachers’ instructional designs, especially those at the growth stage, are of theoretical and practical significance. This study is preoccupied with junior high school teachers at the growth stage and investigated the current situation of instructional designs among this group of people. To a certain extent, this research would be likely to have a positive impact on the construction and development of backbone teachers in junior high school English teaching.The research questions of this thesis would be as follows:(1)To comprehending the present situation of instructional designs of growing English teachers in junior high school from the aspects of the teaching process and classroom observation.(2) To know the present condition of the growing English teachers’ instructional designs competences in junior high school;(3)To Explore factors influencing instructional designs of growing English teachers in junior high school;(4)To Probe into the development strategies to improve instructional designs of growing English teachers in junior high school.Therefore, this study adopts the method of empirical study, questionnaires 42 full-time English teachers under the age of 30-year-old from 4 junior middle schools in Laiyang, interviews the managers of the school, teaching supervision experts, as well as students at school. The following conclusions have been drawn.At present, the problems in instructional designs of growing English teachers in junior high school are mainly embodied as follows: under the concept of new curriculum reform, the ability of instructional designs of growing English teachers growing English teachers in junior high school improved to a certain degree, but in the teaching goal design, paying too much attention to the knowledge and skills, ignoring the process and methods and emotional attitude goal; neglecting differences of students; disguising teaching subjects in presenting teaching goals. In teaching strategy, the instructional designs of growing English teachers in junior high school focuses on too low-level problems and knowledge itself. In teaching process design, the instructional designs of growing English teachers in junior high school needs to improve the authenticity of the situation, lack of awareness of teaching reflection and teaching evaluation design, and in the practice of the teaching process design, they cannot employ the corresponding teaching model. They pay a great deal of attention to cultivate students’ comprehensive language using ability. In teaching organization design, the growing English teachers in junior high school can use a combination of three forms, that is, class, group work and individual study, highlighting students as the main body of teaching learning idea.The primary causes of the present situation lie in: in the teaching process, relatively out-of-date concepts, lack of knowledge in education and teaching, inaccurate classroom role, inadequate attention to students’ learning; in teaching and research ability, insufficient knowledge of education and teaching theory, neglecting teaching research, without thorough analysis of problems in the teaching process, even without realizing them.The study also found that "degree" factor has a great impact on the design ability of growing English teachers in junior high school; "years spent on teaching" factor has a significant impact on the content of growing English teachers in junior high school; "Reading books or journal articles about instructional designs" factor has a significant impact on the evaluation and reflection ability of growing English teachers in junior high school; "participating Teaching designs training activities" factor has a remarkable impact on understanding the design concept and practicing English teaching effect.To this, this study put forward the corresponding strategy, focusing on building a scientific and reasonable growth system of young teachers teaching; building effective evaluation system of the young teachers and the teaching quality monitoring system; advocating academic teaching, strengthening the teaching research, enriching young teachers theoretical ability, and so on.
