Potential courses is ubiquitous in the field of education. Sometimes it is latent,sometimes indistinct. It is not only in primary and secondary schools, universities can also find the traces of it. The studies, however, which introduce potential courses into higher education are few and far between. The study of potential courses in universities and colleges from feminist perspective is the innovation of this thesis.Feminist ideology, nowadays, which makes reflection and criticism about traditional education is one of the contributors to human and society. In view of the criticism of traditional knowledge and science, it surveys and analyzes the male-centered thought and consciousness in education according to its characteristic perspective and way of thinking, puts forward the unique standpoints, perspectives and propositions of feminism about education and makes efforts to reform the theory system of traditional education.In this thesis, the comprehensive application of literature research, positive analysis,interviews conduct an analysis and study of potential courses in universities and colleges. This thesis regards the students in CUMT and Jiangsu Normal University as interviewees, considers the potential courses in universities and colleges as the main content of study and research, takes a new look at higher education from the feminist perspective, inspects the gender discrimination which is hidden in constructions, majors,authorities, students clubs, the professional development of female teachers, classroom instruction and thesis supervision in universities and colleges to capture public attention and promote the adjustment of higher education.Finally, this thesis puts forward the corresponding recommendations and countermeasures based on national social level, college level, the level of female teachers and female students in order to make gender equality consciousness effectively penetrate into higher education and insure the interests of women in colleges and universities can really be guaranteed.
