The Study Of The Recruiting Policy Of National University In Natioanal Government Era

Chinese modern education experienced a process from traditional section to modern stage and close to open after the First Opium War, during the Republic of China era when there were so much troubles in China,it finished its historical shift, which ended traditional education in China that had lasted over one thousand years,and made foundation for the modern education that lasted to today.During the Republic of China,Chinese education did not withered because of the domestic strife and foreign agression, on the contrary,it appeared a prosperous situation with "hundred Flowers Campaign",and developed a mount of master of science and tecchnology talent cultures.Those people made great contribution for China even the world,which due to the government took attention to the education, and more importantly, the way to screen the person with ability and enroll the promising person to college to studying.This paper is a study of the policy of recruiting students during he Republic of China era from 1927 to 1949.Based on the study of fomers,this paper will give a systemic analysis about the changing of recruiting policy. Ant this paper divides the policy into four parts.including single,planing,unitary and multielement recruiting.Then it analyses historical background and the main content and the situation even the influences during the policy implemented.The single recruiting was based on the flexibility of college recruiting students by themselves,but it broke the balance of education resource and the balance between liberal arts and science.The planing recruiting reversed the unbalance between the arts and science,but it did not change the bad influence. The unitary recruiting was good for the balance between arts and science,but it was boycotted by the national university because it brought decline of recruiting students,with the addition of war and the weak of control by the government,finally,the unitary replaced by the multielement recruiting. A general survey of different history recruiting policy,with the changing of political and social environment, the recruiting policy adjusted timely in order to satisfy the requiring of education development and the talents selection.So it made great attribution to the higher education development in the Republic of China era.This paper tries to restore the real activities of the recruiting policy made by National Government,and give some reference and enlightenment based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages about those recruiting policies.
