| Huang Zuo is a very outstanding scholar and educator in Ling Nan in Ming dynasty. He is honored as one of the three great scholars with Chen Xianzhang, Qiu Jun in Guang Dong in Ming dynasty. Huang Zuo devoted his whole life to writing and teaching, and cultivated a number of famous talents. He found the Tai Quan college and restored Yue Zhou college in Guang Dong. Besides, he participated in the rebuilding of Xuan Cheng college, Xiang Shan college, Gui Lin college and so on i n Guang Xi. To some extent, he made contributions to the development of education in Guang Dong and Guang Xi. At the same time, he compiled lots of works about education, such as Mundane, Primary school old adage, The origin ofneo-confucianism and so on. According to his educational thoughts, students are required to be "learnd", "self-supervision", and "the words and deeds care" etc. The main characteristics of his views on education is that he attached great importance to the children and women’s education, obligation and practice and rites and music education. However, his opinion is confined to obsolete views. |
