The Research On The Influence Of College Students’ Competitive Individualism And Countermeasure

In the 1950 s,Western Psychologist found the competitive individualism(extreme individualism) in western modernization.Our country also appeared such competitive individualism in the process of modernization.The survey includes three colleges in Hubei province,which illustrates that competitive individualism has impact on the current college students mainly from several aspects.Firstly,college students’ sense of value tend to be utilitarian,they participate some activities just for making profit.Secondly,most of them participate in activities have the purpose to gain advantage.Thirdly,college students fall in consciousness of cooperation,they prefer to study alone.Finally,the integrity of college students fall in consciousness,something they know what should do,but they don’t do.The mainly causes are:Firstly,the negative impact of competition of the external education system such as the social esteem.Secondly,the education system especially for the college entrance examination competition propaganda deviation.Thirdly,the college student individual’s own reason.College students are the future of society,we must attention it.At first,we should be the social public opinion and the school internal aspects to improve the competition;Second,from the aspects of values,we should strengthen the collectivism education of contemporary college student,cultivating students’ harmonious concept of competition,guides the student to realize the impact of competitive individualism,foster students’ cooperation consciousness and the spirit of good faith;Then,should strengthen the education of psychological health of college students;Finally,through effective measures to improve the humanistic quality of college students.
