The new curriculum standard emphasizes not only the important role of the physics experimental teaching, but also the organic combination of physics with daily life and society. Besides the required experiments stipulated by the texts, a physics teacher shall also offer some other interesting experiments by directing the students to actively involve themselves in the experiments. However, due to the incomplete hardware and software facilities in some of the rural junior middle schools, it is a regret that the physics experimental teaching is far from being satisfactory.Targeted at this issue, this thesis, taking the Langtang Middle School as an example, makes a questionnaire investigation on the status quo of the physics experimental teaching, and puts forward the corresponding suggestions for it from the perspective of the government, the school, the teacher and the student. It also proposes the idea of developing independent experiments, that is, under the background of New Curriculum, teachers and students can, based on the current physics knowledge of the textbook, improve the existing experiments. In light of the actual teaching needs, and the characteristics of rural students, they can also make full use of the ready-made articles of the students, and develop the physics experiments suitable for the new curriculum reform, so as to facilitate the routine teaching.Through a careful study of the above issue, this thesis summarizes general principles and strategies of independent development of physics experiments. With the help of these principles and strategies, this thesis has developed some of the physics experiments for the junior middle schools. In this way, it is confirmed that the strategies for independent development of physics experiments are practical. However, it still has some room for the specific countermeasures, applications, and promotion needs of independent development to be further discussed. In addition, the combination of self-developed physics experiments with such new curriculum reforms as investigative studies and comprehensive practical activities is also worthy of being further studied.
