Since the 12 th Five-years Plan, the vocational education of Guizhou is developing prospectively, gaining huge achievement in human resources and thus greatly assisting "made in Guizhou." At present, the vocational education has entered into the core level of economic development and becomes the engine to upgrade Guizhou’s economic transformation and development, but the government recognition, the social awareness and the people’s option are not in a track with the same frequency resonance; the vocational education in Guizhou faces many challenges. It is of great significance to understand and improve the schooling mode of the secondary vocational education in Guizhou for effectively enhancing the level of the secondary vocational education and boosting the economic in Guizhou.This study, by means of literature analysis, interview,survey and Comprehensive analysis, based on "investigation research on the schooling mode of the secondary vocational education in Guizhou," and according to the logical thinking from theory to practice, defines the relevant content of the secondary vocational education; and through access to relevant literature and investigation in some Guizhou secondary vocational schools based on Guizhou Senior Technical School, this study sums up the bottlenecks of restricting the schooling mode of the secondary vocational education in Guizhou as follows: prejudice cognition, imperfect management system, insufficient financial investment, unreasonable subject arrangement, weak teachers, insufficient integration of administration, production and education, unsatisfied employment quality and the weak connection between common education and vocational education. Through the analysis of the causes of these bottlenecks and by drawing the lessons from the successful experiences of the vocational education in developed areas, the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for improving the schooling mode of the vocational education in Guizhou as follows: changing ideas to create an environment for the growth of skilled personnel; rationalizing the management system to bring an integrated role of the government and the market into play; adjusting the subject arrangement to build up scientific curriculum system; optimizing the teaching staff to improve the level of teachers; constructing ability-training oriented mechanism of integrating production and education; following employment oriented training mode to improve serving the society; and strengthening the connection between common education and vocational education to construct a national lifelong education system. This study has a certain instructive reference in the respect of relevant policy making and relevant vocational education problems solving in improving the development of vocational education theory in the economically underdeveloped region.
