Mentoring is one of the popular methods of professional teaching growth in our country’s kindergartens. It is the most important approach to professional growth for almost all the kindergarten teachers, especially for the new ones. Making a deep study of the current developing situations and the existing problems is positive to carry out the mentoring effectively and improve the quality of the teachers. Based on studying the current researches, the paper takes use of many methods to study the current situations of mentoring such as questionnaire,case method, observation,interviewing and text analysis. What is more, the study makes a research from three aspects as follows:the degree of recognition of mentoring form both teachers and students, the basic situations of teaching, the administrative situations of mentoring from the kindergartens. The results show the there are a lot of problems existing in the kindergarten mentoring such as follows:1, being deviating of understanding what the mentoring means.2, being lack of pertinence in carrying out the mentoring.3, being lack of efficient communication between teachers and students.4, being defective of the appraisal mechanism and incentive mechanism in the kindergartens. At the end, the study put forward the specific countermeasures for these problems in order to improve the effectiveness in carrying out the kindergarten mentoring.
