The Research On The Policy Of Entrepreneurial University In The United Kingdom

Under the impact of globalization, knowledge economy and education popularization etc, university is faced with severe challenges.The demand of State and society for university is not only satisfied with the teaching and research, the role and function of university needs to be changed, to adapt to the changing external environment. On one hand, in order to break through the development bottleneck of university, many universities begin to explore their own school-running mode, and create an entrepreneurial university development path; on the other hand, in order to reinforce the function of university in the knowledge creation, cultivating the talent, innovation and entrepreneurship etc, the government begin to actively encourage university to develop toward the direction of entrepreneurial university.In the perspective of policy of entrepreneurial university development, this paper conduct a comprehensive and systematical research, which including the history of the university of entrepreneurial development, the current policy, the case implementation, and evaluation of enlightenment. Firstly, this paper expound the theoretical basis, development background and development stage of entrepreneurial university. Secondly, this paper select three policy that promote the development of entrepreneurial university, and analyze in detail. Then take Stratchclyde University as a typical case,deeply analyzes its educational philosophy, curriculum and entrepreneurial activity, etc. Finally, the paper analyzes the characters of UK entrepreneurial university development, and points out the problems existing in the process of its development. Meanwhile, with the reality of our country, provide the model for development of entrepreneurial university in China.
