Research On The Development And Cooperation Of Lifelong Education Between Fujian And Taiwan

The trend of thought in lifelong education, after arose in 1960s, was attached with great importance in developed regions for its remarkable achievements. Through vigorous exchanges and cooperation on lifelong education, Fujian and Taiwan has witnessed remarkable development in many aspects during recent years, viz. policy making, academic researches and publication websites. However, both regions have confronted with a variety of problems and challenges when pushing forward lifelong education and the communication and cooperation thereof. This article focuses on the joint effort of Fujian and Taiwan in running Cross-strait Lifelong Education Institute and in building a beautiful countryside to depict the current mutual exchange and cooperation on lifelong education and dissertate on the influence and importance of the exchange. In the concluding part, the author puts forward a spate of measures for deepening the cooperation and exchange, such as "boosting the legislation regarding lifelong education cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan", "simplifying the procedures of traveling permits to Taiwan and facilitating the flow of people between Fujian and Taiwan" "making further effort in co-running lifelong education schools and establishing a long-term machinery", and "guiding Taiwan to take responsibility in lifelong education exchange".
