In 2011,the Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education 2011 Edition(hereafter referred to as curriculum2011)was issued.To make the curriculum further improved,this paper focuses on a comparative study of mathematics curriculum in Ontario(hereafter referred to as ontario curriculum).Through comparison of similarities and difference between two mathematics curriculums on mathematics,problem solving,strategy and reflection,this paper aims to put forward some suggestions.By using the methods of literature,comparison, the questionnaire survey,this paper carry on comparative researches.And this paper studies the setting concept,overall frame and structure, the implementation suggestion of content and so on a comparative studyas a whole.Besides,this paper partial studies the process of learning mathematics,the problem solving strategy selection, reflection, communication of mathematical learning processes.Fureher more,this study is based on the survey of the in-service middle school teachers.In the end,this paper gives the conclusion and weaknesses of the study and put forward some suggestions for further research.This research not only summarizes the similarities and differences of the Curriculum2011 and the Ontario curriculum,but also puts forward suggestions for revision of the curriculum 2011.
