Investigation Based On The Standard Urban Middle School Geography Teachers’ Information Technology Knowledge Requirements

The 21 st century is the era of digital information, IT has become the main theme of development of human society. To maintain the advanced and professional teachers in the rapid development of the information society, it should be required to have a high IT knowledge and ability to adapt to the development of the initiative and change information society. Therefore, China’s Ministry of Education implemented the "National Teachers’ Information technology capacity building project" in 2013.The next year, the Ministry of Education has issued a "teacher training courses IT proficiency standard primary and secondary school(Trial)", the standard is for the different stages of the country, from different disciplines,different starting points of the primary and secondary school teachers in a programmatic document,geography teacher of middle school as part of the national secondary school teachers, it is necessary to focus on the analysis of training courses for geography teachers, prompting a new round of IT capacity building training more targeted and effective.In order to build geography teacher of middle school for IT training courses, teacher training needs in this paper from the perspective of the current situation and the needs of IT knowledge and ability of teachers in information technology have been conducted. During the study, the author uses the literature research, interviews, questionnaires and statistical method. First, the use of literature to understand the current research literature to determine the starting point and significance of research, and the core concepts were defined. Then, on the basis of a detailed analysis of the standard combination of interviews compiled a questionnaire, and launched a field survey. The author of the statistical analysis of the survey results the following conclusions:(1) multimedia teaching geography teacher used equipment operation more skilled,low demand degree;(2) digital education resource teacher get a higher capacity, and an excellent resource for higher education degree requirement;(3) mastery of teaching universal software is not very good, but a higher degree of demand;(4) geography teachers to master the software is very optimistic, and demand is low;(5) geography teachers have a higher capacity, in a simple multimedia teaching environment, demand was not high;(6) the ability to geography teaching in an interactive multimedia environment is poor, higher demand for degrees;(7) teachers to use information technology in the teaching process in good condition,the degree of uneven levels of demand;(8) learning Network applications and network teaching platform isvery optimistic, demand is lower; training needs(9) applies to educational software for mobile devices is not high;(10) In the case of the digital environment to build a new teaching activities of teachers is not optimistic, the lower demand level;(11) the application of information technology to support the status quo is not optimistic teacher professional development, the demand is not high. Finally, according to the survey results, the author is standards-based, combined with the characteristics of geography, trying to build an information technology training courses for Middle School Geography teacher, and put forward some training recommendations.Comprehensive analysis of this study, the author summarizes the four main conclusions:(1) on the whole, current situation IT knowledge geography teacher is not optimistic;(2) there is a high demand for geography teachers in the application of information technology to optimize classroom teaching;(3) IT support teacher professional development of the concept is not popular;(4) middle school geography teachers IT training should focus on the characteristics of geography, and close to the actual requirements of teachers. In this paper, "curriculum standards" as the basis, in the investigation of the current situation and demand of middle school geography teachers knowledge of information technology, the paper constructs middle school geography teachers training curriculum system, which fully highlight the geography features.The innovation of this study has two, one is to improve the middle school geography teachers IT training courses, it will provide valuable content for a new round of upgrading training, and promote geography teachers IT training more specific. The second is to study the angle of innovation. Currently very few scholars study "curriculum standards" from the perspective of teacher training requirements, this paper studies the demand side of the teacher’s IT knowledge, not only enriches the research in the field of information technology training, and provide some reference material for future research.
