| Why people from different classes, different ages, different occupations, and different backgrounds consider themselves diors? In this paper, based on the in-depth interview data, we have performed generic analysis by using the Nvivo 10.0 software based on the qualitative analytic methods.Firstly, from the generalization concept of "diors", we define the diors as "a class of people in society or in certain situations with subjective frame of reference such as economy, physical appearance, temperament and conservation as the standard for social comparison, producing imagine of stratification, considering a negative self-existence and self-deprecating behavior or conducting personalized way to express themselves in a particular social psychology". According to the different concept and usage for diors, we have classified the diors as two kinds, that is, the real diors and the fake diors.Secondly, we discussed the existence of social identity for diors. According to the logic of groups-values-social identify, we first confirmed the existence of diors by analyzing the empirical data, the empirical literature, and the qualitative interviews. Then we performed an analysis for the formation of the subculture of diors, and found that the subculture of diors is a metaphor produced in a specific sense structure and is carrying the collective imagination and values on society for diors. On the above basis, the social identity formed.Based on the theory of social identity, we presented the formation process of social identity for diors, and the social identity level of diors step by step:combined with interviews, we analyzed how the diors is formed through social classification, social comparison, and active differentiation to form the social identity; base on the "identity hierarchy" theory, we rendered the hierarchy of social identity. We drew a figure of the level of the social identity for the respondent diors, which can help us to have a deeper understanding of the cognitive, emotional, behavioral aspects of social identity for diors.Finally, from the post-subculture perspective, we analyzed the people with different classes, different ages, different occupations, and different backgrounds who consider themselves as diors and the significance of social identity:We analyzed five aspects of diors as follows, the exhibited characteristics of social identity for diors, the constituted complexity of the diors groups, the media characteristics of the network platform for the diors groups, the post-subcultural characteristics associated with consumerism that diors shows the impacting of the political life, and found the possibility analyzing diors phenomena from the post-subcultural perspective;We also analyzed the characteristics of diors that how can we group diors through the hierarchy of the original meaning of the diors, the traditional culture of deconstruction and reconstruction, in order to reflect the fragmentation of social identity of diors; We performed an analysis for the social identity of modernist social psychological motivation. From the four aspects such as the edge of the individual herd mentality, individual creativity, and individual lifestyle, the social identity fragmentation and the level characteristics of diors were also analyzed. |
