"Social Mainstream Values identity" is a process that someone changes his values to adapt the social value system. Structurally, the social mainstream values identity consists of five dimensions:the ideological identity, political values identity, ethnic values identity, era values identity and moral values identity. Due to understand the factors affecting the mainstream values identity of college students, this paper used the empirical method of hypothesis—testing. On the basis of the literature review, we propose hypothesizes. Using questionnaire as the method to collect dates and implicating mean analysis, correlation analysis, variance analysis and SEM as the means of testing hypotheses; we tried to establish an integrated model. At last, we tried to make research prospects.It is widely believe that college students is going through crisis of the mainstream values identity.However, this study shows that college degree of recognition of the mainstream values are not low, but the values of the different types of cognition are quite different. In terms of influencing factors, social learning variables (its frequency, motivation and effects) proved to have significant relationship with the mainstream values identity, value conflict variables (acceptance of "universal values", religious values, poor social thinking) are also able to explain a large part of the variation of students’mainstream values identity. However, the social status variables (party members, student leaders and self-awareness of social status) couldn’t turn out to have significant relationship with dependent variables. SMC testing showed that an integral model with social learning variables and value conflict variables can explain68.9%of the variation in the mainstream values identity of college students. Based of empirical research results, we talked about the concept of social identity mainstream values, identity status of college students, influence factor models further. Besides, we tried to construct a "system-Action-identity" theory to understand the logic of mainstream values identity. We wise this paper may develop the sociological research in mainstream values in some extent.
