Return To Major Believe —An Action Research Process

Many social workers come to the areas suffered from earthquake heavily to provide service after the Wen Chuan earthquake,2008,M is one of which.In mid-April 2009,M had set up as a professional social service center and settled down at a local vacitonal school.After that,they also set their goal:uniting the community and promoting the livelihood.M had offer their professional service for five years till May,2014.During that period,he had experienced all kinds of process:breaking ice,getting use to the environment,keeping steady,suffering obstacles,triumph over difficulties,and come out finally.The thesis take action-research as methodology, and author’s social work practice-including reflection and action-as objects. The purpose of this thesis is to present the progress in the research and manifest the puzzle or challenge during all the way.At last,the author want to make it clear that she will choose social worker as a life style.However,it’s important to emphasize that the author’s action-research is based on the history of M and always change with it.So, in this thesis, the writer will analyze "life" and characteristic of M and make "thick description" in every key event,by this way, the "life story"of M can be found and restatement.In this article,four phases had been discussed:beginning,calling of heoretical system,chanllenges of authority-against,self-reflection.Above all,the author found that although she had expirenced too much anxiety or confusion during all the process,she also affirmed the profession faith that always be a reflective actor.
