Classical Chinese is an excellent carrier of Chinese culture, and also is an important teaching part of high middle school in China. The learning of Classical Chinese can not be ignored for improving the contemporary high school students’ s Literature accomplishment. But the reality is unsatisfactory in many high middle schools. First, in Classical Chinese teaching of high middle school, many teachers pay more attention to the needs of the college entrance examination and pursue the final exam scores than understanding the involution of the Classical Chinese. Second, students’ s interest in this subject gradually decreases, because of the single teaching method. Both of these make students feel boring and can’t appreciate the unique beauty of Classical Chinese. So many students lose scores of this part in the exam. All of these make the high middle school teaching of classical Chinese language become difficult.In this study, the main research method is investigation technique for the phenomenon of High consumption and low efficiency of the classical Chinese language teaching. According to design the relative survey tool, select the survey sample, the study makes a further research to know of students’ and Chinese teachers’ feelings and opinions about Classical Chinese language teaching of the Gansu Qinan fifth high middle school. The study is based on analysis of the survey results to find out the main problem of current Classical Chinese teaching in high middle school and try to come up with some adaptive strategies to solve learning difficulty of Classical Chinese. The study includes five sections. The first section is the the origin of the study, definition of the concept, the purpose and significance of the research and literature review related to the Classical Chinese teaching.The second section is the rational thinking of optimized strategy about the high middle school Classical Chinese teaching. The third section finds out the main problem of teaching on the basis of the analysis of survey about the current situation of Classical Chinese teaching. The fourth section comes up with some suggestions about the Classical Chinese teaching. The fifth section is the conclusion, including the shortages and improvements of the study.Through the study: The main problem of the high middle school teaching are following:( a) students are less interested in learning classical Chinese;(b)It’s difficult for students to understand the Classical Chinese;(c) Teaching methods are single and boring;(d) The teaching aim is so realistic;(e) the teachers don’t have enough Literacy. Accordingly, the study makes some optimized strategies of the Classical Chinese teaching :( a)The teachers should improve their teaching concept and change their teaching methods;(b)The teacher should improve the quality of literacy and enrich the Cultural heritage;(c) The teachers should focus on students’ learning interests;(d) the teacher should develop various evaluation in the high middle school.
