Teaching material is an important medium of teachers’ classroom teaching, which are used to impart knowledge to students. It’s not only the foundation of the teacher’s preparation for a lesson, but also became students’ self-study materials, especially in the new curriculum reform which requires students to have motivations for learning. Teaching materials determine the students’ knowledge level. After carefully studying the characteristics and limitations on the basis of the analysis, teachers and students can better grasp the teaching difficult points and the guiding ideology, which can promote the continuous improvement of the textbook.Based on the knowledge of pedagogy, psychology, history theory and other disciplines, the text analyzes the system of junior middle school history teaching materials. The total text is divided into four chapters, which are the introduction, the body, the exercises after class and the analysis of activities,with the thinking and modification of the deficiency of teaching materials.
