Survey Of Social Work Intervention In School Mental Health

It is quite common that social work intervents school mental health education in the European, American countries as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions. In recent years, with the introduction of social work and the government’s emphasis on school mental health education, social work intervention in school mental health education has become a trend and walk at the forefront of the times in the pearl river delta. In order to survey the present situation of social work intervention in school mental health to provide domestic schools that have not been intervenced by social workers with some references, the survey of 3 middle schools of guangzhou and 3 social work institutions has been carried by the author, in the case of guangzhou zhuhai K middle school, a deep observation has been delievered to record the process of social work intervention on school mental health. Finally on the basis of survey and case study, the author summarizes some experiences that worth to be popularized: first, the school social work and school mental health education teachers formed a confluence of mental health education; second, school social work intervention release the load of schools; third, school social work intervention makes the school mental health education more professional. Meanwhile, drawbacks of school social work intervention on school mental health have been found.The author thus provides three suggestions to enhance the sate quo: first, the coordination between school social work and school mental health education should be reinforced; Second, relevant policy should be improved; Third, a clear division of labor should be delievered.
