Population aging is a common issue that global development faced in 21st century. China has fully entered into aging since 2000, from then on, the population aging process in different areas shows a different pattern in different regions.Studying on spatial distribution of aging population from the perspective of multi-scale, fully understanding and mastering spatial characteristics of spatial distribution of aging population, combining the analysis of regional differences of aging in different space scale, has a very important theoretical and realistic significance for understanding the distribution of aging space in china. This paper analyzes the spatial distribution of the aging trend in three different scales, then present the index of the proportion of aged population, annual growth tempo of elderly population proportion, tempo of elderly geographical concentration and aged population density in the form of a chart visually. The results show that the larger the scale, the distribution pattern of the aging space more simple; and various measurement indicators of aging shows sensitivity differently, the degree of aging and the aging speed indicators show greater sensitivity at different scales, but the indicator of elderly population density in different scales showed strong consistency. Finally, through the analysis of spatial autocorrelation, aging space in the four major economic regional scale and eight economic zones scale showed random distribution, spatial agglomeration phenomenon only appears in the provincial scale.
