It takes ten years to grow trees, but a hundred years to rear people. Education,teachers are for this. The development and progress of sports have something to do with the development of school sports. Meanwhile, school sports cannot alive without front-line P.E. teachers. P.E. teachers as a part of teachers are charged with the promotion of students’ all-round development and strengthen students’ physical health.P.E. teachers are backbone of the development of school sports and play a key function for P.E reform and development. Therefore, it is unreasonable to ignore P.E.teachers living condition.Gansu province is located in the northwest of China with economically backward.As to P.E. teachers of primary or middle school, they are facing various troubles and challenges. The present study borrows some related theories of education ecology,sociology of education, teacher professional development, life education and so on. It investigated and studied the living condition of regular senior high school P.E.teachers in Zhangye, Gansu, and put forward corresponding suggestions and treatments. It aims to give out some theory references to improve P.E. teachers’ living condition, social statues, and promote P.E. teacher’s professional development and health development of school physical education.The present study mainly uses the literature material law, questionnaire survey,field interview, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other research methods. It aims to investigate and analyze regular P.E. teachers’ basic information of sex and age structure, education and professional background, years of teaching, professional title structure, and monthly income; living environment about the relationship between P.E.teachers and people around, the support from their family and friends; P.E. teachers’ influence, the phenomenon that P.E. class occupied by other classes, the degree of difficulty about P.E. teachers’ title evaluation; the working content, volume and income of P.E. teachers; their approval of social status and social expectations; P.E.teachers’ professional identity, career planning, professional training and the awareness of professional development. This study analyzes the factors that affect P.E.teachers’ living conditions.The discovery of the study is shown as follows: 1) the existing living problems of regular senior high school P.E. teachers are: the imperfect management system of school physical education; the ignorance of P.E. teacher; lack of equipment; the strong sense of job burnout of P.E teacher with low career satisfaction; the low awareness of professional development; the little effect of professional training for P.E. teachers;the evaluation of P.E. teachers is not comprehensive enough. 2) P.E. teachers’ living condition in this area is influenced not only by eternal factors, such associety,government, school, but also by P.E. teachers’ personal factors.With the theories of education ecology, sociology of education, teacher professional development, life education and so on, and the investigation of P.E.teachers’ living condition in Zhangye, Gansu, this study puts forward the following suggestions: reform the existing management system, guarantee the healthy development of school physical education; strengthen the leadership of physical education and school leaders should play their functions; increase the investment to improve the environment of P.E. class; improve P.E. teachers’ comprehensive quality and build a new image of P.E. teacher; professional faith and teachers’ professional development; strengthen post-career training and improve P.E. teachers ability;improve the assessment mechanism and distinct P.E. teachers.
