| With the constant improvement of the new curriculum, the educators have gradually paid more attention to the students’ personality problems, especially middle school students’ personality problems.However, the Traditional Education has a long-time-lasting effect on present teaching in Middle school, which leads to the parents and school only emphasized Student achievement or graduation rates, but didn’t paid enough attention to students’ real needs and the personality fosters. As a special educational group, the middle school students’ thinking was premature, and their personality is surprisingly malleable. The 21 st century is an information age, the students share the information it provides and feel c onvenient, but at the same time, they gradually form personality defects in different degree, such as poor po ssessiveness, bad setback-resistance, self-centered, lack of creativeness etc.Therefore, more attention should be paid to the student personality education, it is particularly important to promote the all-round development of students’ personality.As a key part of school science education, Biological subject contains many materials about students’ personality education, which makes it has a unique advantage in cultivating student’s personality.This research which was based on the needs of middle school students, connecting the characteristics of biological disciplines character explores how to carry on Personality Education.Firstly, this study describes the present situation of research on the personality education; the relationship between middle school students’ needs and personality both at home and abroad, and the related concepts of personality education by reviewing a lot of relevant papers. The education of personality refers to developing and intensifying the psychological quality of student; the goal of which is to improve middle school students’ health personality which can adapt to the development of the modern society. The personality education of middle schools refers to training students with good ideological quality; good moral character and good emotion quality, which aims at helping students form a healthy personality based on middle school students’ physical and mental characteristics and the content of the teaching with some teaching methods. The wholesome personality not only brings benefits to students’ overall development, but also is significant to promote the harmony of family and the development of harmonious society. The personality education is not directly telling students should form what kind ofpersonality, but it is permeating in teaching based on the characteristics of the needs of the students.The paper has carried out a preliminary study towards the needs of middle school students on the basis of former research with designing a questionnaire. We found that the middle school students have rich and varied needs, such as cognition needs, self-esteem needs, material needs, dating needs, etc., a lot of which are neglected by the parents and the educators from the questionnaire. We must note that the formation of personality and the needs of students are inseparable, the author studied deeply about biological subjects and point that the educators can promote the personality cultivation of students from three aspects which are biological theory study, experiment teaching and extracurricular practice. The educators should highlight some of the most Scientists’ valuable quality which is always upholding their own principles, constantly pioneering and enterprising, banishing pros and cons in the teaching of biological scientific history. This not only can satisfy the students’ curiosity for knowledge, but also can create their perfect personality. Biological subject is a basis experimental course; the educators can promote the students’ mutually exchanges, and help students to build their inclusive personality by improving cooperation between different groups. They can also promote students to the formation of divergent thinking and creative personality through innovation experiment. Biology is also a discipline which is closely linked with life, the educators can lead the students go into nature to feel the beauty of Biology. By this way, the educators can help them cultivate aesthetic personality. Meanwhile, the educators should pay more attention to emotional education; and help the students cultivate their caring personality. Many concrete examples are used in the study, elaborates how to carry on personality education in biology teaching.At last, this study puts forward three suggestions on how to help students improve their own personality: 1, the students’ needs should be paid more attention in the personality education.2, Should display teacher’s personality charm and by the body demonstration function.3, Should refine teaching method, and pay more attention on the key factor which is not others but the students themselves. |
